Show FULL SPEED AHEAD There is every reason to believe that the Great Gunnison valley val-ley is going to prosper ,and prosper more than ever before during 1924. General conditions throughout the entire country, coupled with a firm stable condition in this valley has instilled confidence with the farmer,, merchant, banker and the general business public and all are determined to make "full speed ahead." Profiting by the splendid success of the beet crop during the year just passed, the distribution of nearly a half million dollars by the sugar company and the general trend of business the pessimist is showing his hand in an entirely different light and the forces that are working for a bigger and greater valley will be materially augmented aug-mented in time to come. The knocker, let it be known, is becoming becom-ing educated and is finding year by year, that his power is failing. For decades past and right in this valley the influences of the man that would retard growth and development was considered today his word is held in little regard, and well might it be. A few men cannot make a section, though they try. The united cooperation of all, however, will accomplish much and if this is forthcoming, and all indications point that way, then Gunnison Valley, will grow, the farmer and merchant will prosper and happy homes and conentment will follow. There is a lack of payrolls, though, and this one feature is detrimental. det-rimental. A cheese factory, a canning factory, creamery and other industries usually found in thriving agricultural sections are possible in this valley. They can be had and if all unite in one big movement move-ment this valley will be teeming with activity. |
