Show Thorvald Jensen Dies at Glenwood Thorvald C. Jensen, well known throughout this valley and who resided re-sided at Centerf ield for many years, died at his home in Glenwood Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week following an operation op-eration for a serious case of appen-diciiis. appen-diciiis. Mr. Jensen was suddenly stricken with the malady and just ifs soon as possible an operation was performed but without avail and he passed to the great beyond. Thorvald Jensen, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Antone L. Jensen, was 37 years old at the time of his death. He was widely known and was active in church work, having served a mission mis-sion in Mexico for the Mormon church. He was a leader in church work at his home town, Glenwood, holding prominent positions in the various deparments. He was the seventh sev-enth child of nine children to be called call-ed to the unknown world and death coming as it did, causes deep grief with the parents and family. Impressive funeral services were held last Friday and those attending from here state that it was one o' the largest ever held in Glenwood. Friends from far and near gathered to pay the last sad respects and the church services were most impressive. impress-ive. The floral offerings were many and beautiful and spoke the love and esteem held for the deceased. Besides the widow, Mrs. Dora Jensen, Jen-sen, three sons, Barry, Eldon and Arden Jensen, the deceased is survived survi-ved by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Antone An-tone Jensen, and two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Nielson of Garfield, and Mrs. Geo. Coombs of Fielding. All were present at the funeral services. Others attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Jensen and Mrs. Louis LeRoy. |
