Show HIGH SCHOOL NOTES ! : : 1- The classes of the Gunnison Valley high school have complted the several organizations and are now getting down to real work. The officers chosen chos-en for the senior class are as follows: Naomi Christensen, president; Ada Peterson vice-president; Alphilda Anderson, secretary-treasurer; class reporter, Noel Gribble; program committee, Blanche Ferre, chairman; Virginia Bardsley and Elvona Soren-son; Soren-son; decoration committee, Eunice Gremsgard, chairman; Glen don Stubbs, Noel Gribble and Elvona Sorenson. Pink and white were chosen chos-en as the class colors and fifty cents as the class fee. The seniors have all expressed the desire of wanting to be the most active class the school has ever known and are making a splendid start. A student body party is being planned and at this function, the time of which will be announced later, a real ''get together" social will be held. The weekly assembly program was given by the seniors Thursday of last week, as follows: Song, assembly. Prayer, Rachael Childs. Introduction of seniors to student body, Elvona Sorenson. Vocal solo, Harold Bradley. Reading, Mrs. Stephen Covey. Violin solo, Raymond Ericksen. Reading, Lavour Kump. Singing, assembly. Junior officers selected are as follows: fol-lows: President, Ray Ericksen; vice-president, vice-president, Paul Parks; secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, Naomi Fjcldsted. The sophomore officers for the present pre-sent school year are: Rulon Mansfield, Mans-field, preside nil; Florence llcrman-sen, llcrman-sen, vice-president; Imelda Peterson, secretary-treasurer. Freshmen officers arc: Duane Anderson, An-derson, president; Robert Glcdhil), vice-president; Helen Beck, secretary-treasurer. A get-acquainted party was held at the high school last Friday. The affair was well attended and those present had a dandy time. The indoor in-door track meet was one of the main features of the evening. There is no noticeable increase in the registration this year. Thus far lfiO have enrolled and this number will be materially increased later on. All high school students who have not as yet registered arc urged to do so as soon as possible, thus giving strength to the school. The Boys clubs received ten ribbons and $30 of the total cash premiums. 1 The Royal Welsh Gleemcn will jive a concert at the Casino October 30. The Welsh singers, who were scheduled sched-uled to sing here: last year, were disappointed dis-appointed due to the inability to receive re-ceive passports from Pouth, Great Bnritain. Arrangements, however, have been completed and the gleemcn will be here as scheduled,, |
