Show Sterling Bishop Buried at Manti j Funeral services for L. C. Olsen, a former resident of Gunnison and a brother of Bishop Hans C. Olsen of this city, were held at Manti Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon of last week. In its report of the services the Manti Messenger has the following: Well attended' services were held in the Sterling ward chapel Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon. Those speaking were President L. R. Anderson, President J. B. Jacobson, Bishop's Counselor G. W. Bradley, President Park of Gunnison Gun-nison stake, D. B. Funk, counselor in the bishopric to Mr. Olsen; Solon Edwards, also a counselor to Mr. Olsen; Ol-sen; Bishop's Counselor W. H. Bailey, Bai-ley, Bishop E. T. Reid, Patriarch Chas. R. Dorius, and Bishop Ludvig-son. Ludvig-son. Musical numbers were furnished by the ward choir. "Come, Come Ye Saints" and "Sometime We'll Understand;" Un-derstand;" Mrs. Mildred Odell and Miss Thyra Olsen furnished a vocal duet, and Miss Hortense Sidwell and Miss Vera Miller favored with a violin vio-lin and piano duet. Invocation was offered by Ray Chapman and the benediction by Samuel Kilpack. Niels Peterson dedicated the grave. Those who survive are his widow i and six living children Erbin and Eldred of Sterling; Mrs. Ann Peterson, Peter-son, Axtell; Henry J., Peru, South America; Mrs. Ada Bennett, . Sterling; Sterl-ing; and Mrs. Ernia Pickett, Gunnison; Gunni-son; six brothers, David and James of Manti; Lehi, Axtell; Hans, Gunnison; Gun-nison; Peter, 4Emery; and Dan ,of Salt Lake; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Miller, Manti; Mrs. Elizabeth Christensen, Ephraim; Mrs. Anna Johnson and Mrs. Diantha Newton, Ogden; and his aged mother, Mrs. Anna K. Olsen. |
