Mr. Hancock, who is vitally inter-j ested in the new enterprise and who declares Gunnison Valley an ideal place for the cultivation of not only potatoes, but in the famed cauliflower, cauliflow-er, celery and other garden products, gave a splendid talk to the farmers assembled. He stated that the industry, in-dustry, if properly cared for and if certified seed and a uniform grade, generally speaking, were used, the industry would, without a doubt, prove a valuable asset to the entire section. Mr. Hancock also impressed upon those present that the demand for high class potatoes was increasing increas-ing each year and that the good product pro-duct always found a ready market. "A good variety of certified seed, carefully planted and cared for, will give big yields and big yields with fair prices bring good money to the producers," concluded Mr. Hancock. |
