Show Sjsiness Women Plan Organization With a view to enlisting the aid of the professional women of Gunnison Gunni-son in perfecting an organization along the lines of the state and national na-tional club, known as the Ladies Business and Professional club, some twenty members of the Manti organization organi-zation will be in Gunnison this evening even-ing and a meeting will be held at the Wistaria at which time the plans and objects will be told and in all likelihood likeli-hood Gunnison will join forces and create an organization. Mrs. Spencer Moffitt, president of the Manti club, and Mrs. M. S. Leslie, were hei-e the first of the week and were very much encouraged when the plan was told to establish a club here. At the meeting this evening, which is to open with a banquet startling at six thirty, covers will be laid for some forty. Mrs. Moffitt, who, with local ladies, is enthusing interest in the formation of a club of the women of this city, will be the principal speaker at the buslnesjs session. Gunnison ladies who are interested in the club, will also make short talks and from the enthusiasm that has been shown more than likely a charter will be applied for. The work carried out by the Ladies Business and Professional clubs throughout the state and nation is along the lines of the International Lions clubs, having in view the advancement ad-vancement of women in the work of nutting over community, charitable srd business enterprises. The Manti club, which is quite active, received !s charter about a year ago and since that time the lub has accomplished much. |
