Show Miss Theresa Duggins went to Salt Lake City Tuesday and will be ab-1 sent until the end of the week visit-1 ing with friends. Wrilletts, auditor for the D. & R. G., were business visitors here 1 Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Jensen and Mrs. Daisy Jensen were here from Fillmore this week visiting friends and looking after business matters. Mrs. Sadie Clark, who spent the past several months here with her mother, Mrs. Annie Christcnsen, left the first of the week for Los Angeles. Ange-les. Michael Jensen, who will spend the winter at the Soldiers home at Saw-telle, Saw-telle, Calif., has been here this week for a visit. He will return the latter lat-ter part of the week to the home. Miss Geneal McKenna and Miss LuDeen Jensen left Monday of this week for Los Angeles. They expect to remain indefinitely at the Southern South-ern California metropolis. Lucile Modeen reached her seventh sev-enth birthday anniversary Wednesday Wednes-day of last week and to commemorate commemor-ate the event she entertained for 28 guests. Games formed the enjoyable diversion and later in the afternoon 1 ice cream, cake, watermelon and olh-1 olh-1 er delicacies were served as a lunch- eon. Arnold, office manager, and R. K, G-addie, chief chemist, for the Gunnison Sugar company, motored to Salt t Lake Friday. They visited the state air and races, and after transacting business matters, returned re-turned to Gunnison Sunday evening. : H. P. Jensen, who has been located at Meeker, Colo., for the past four months, is here for a two weeks' visit vis-it with his family. b Miss Julia Hagan, a student at the W'asatch academy at Mt. Pleasant, visited last week-end with her parents, par-ents, Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hagan. Ira Overfelt, of the Gunnison Val- ley bank, motored to Mt. Pleasant and was met by his daughters, the Misses Lois and Helen Overfelt, and later the party went to Goshen to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Okel-brry, Okel-brry, and Mr. and Mrs. Ransom Overfelt, of McGill, Nevada, and who were the house guests at the Okel-berry Okel-berry home. . . Rosie Johnson entertained twelve of her friends last Friday afternoon from . four to seven, at a birthday anniversary party. Games and other oth-er diversions were enjoyed and late a luncheon, consisting of sandwiches, cake and ice cream, were served, i Miss Johnson received majiy gifts ; from her friends. Miss "Billy" Peterson entertained I sixteen guests at her fourteenth birthday anniversary Friday evening of last week.
