Stanley Vincent of Spanish- Fork, is in the city for a week's visit with his sister Mrs. Theron Pickett. Arthur Christensen, a former resident, re-sident, was here from Manti the first of the week looking after business matters. Wayne Lundberg came in from Salt Lake the first of the week and will spend a few days visiting with relatives. rela-tives. Thorpe, jr., Miss Jauventa Thorpe and Mrs. Cannon Jensen returned re-turned Tuesday from a combined business and pleasure trip to- Salt Lake. Rev. T. G. McLeod of Manti, will hold the usual bimonthly services at the Presbyterian chapel next Sunday evening at 7:30 The public is invited to be present. P. N. V. Anderson of Orangeville was the guest at the home of his sister, Mrs. William Voorhees in this city last Sunday. He left for his home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. John Sprott, motored to Salt Lake last Friday, returning Monday Mon-day evening. On their return trip ,they were accompanied by Miss Vada Peterson who has been at the city for the past month. President J. W. Jones ofi the Gunnison Gun-nison Lions club, and Lions C. M. Edwards and N. L. Hermansen, were Nephi visitors Monday of this week. They meet with the Kiawanis club of Nephi on road matters and received flattering encouragement. Benj. Brown, president and general gener-al manager for the ;Utah. Poultry Producers Cooperative association with headquarters at Salt Lake, spent several days here this week conferring conferr-ing with local representatives and looking after other important business busi-ness matters. Austin Kearns and Grant Neilson, who have been working at the mines 'at Eureka, are here for a weeks visit with their parents, Austin, who had serious trouble with one of his eyes due to a slight accident, has fully recovered and now has full use of the injured member. Monday evening of this week Mr. and Mrs. Marsden Gribble entertained fourteen guests at a progressive "500" party at their home. First prizes were awarded to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nielson, while the consolations were captured by Mrs. K. J. Sorenson and Lavor Voorhees. At 11 o'clock the hostess served dainty refreshments. refresh-ments. Mrs. J. A. Hagan was hostess to members of the Bonne Foi club at the regular bi-monthly meeting yesterday yes-terday afternoon from two to "five thirty. During the needlecraft hour Mrs. N. L. Hermansen gave an interesting in-teresting reading. The hostess served dainty refreshments at five o'clock At the last meeting of the club Mrs. J. A. Hagan was chosen president, and Mrs. W. J. Gribble, secretary-treasurer secretary-treasurer for the ensuing year. |
