Show RETURN FROM ISLANDS Clarence Fredrickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Fredrickson of this city, and who had been absent for the past) eighteen mnoths, being stationed sta-tioned in the Hawaiian islands, returned re-turned home Sunday. Clarence enlisted enlist-ed with the 41st artillery, U. S. A. at Salt Lake about a year and a half! ago. Immediately following his en- j listment he set sail for his destina-1 tion and until his discharge some few weeks ago he was located at Ft. Kam-ehaameha, Kam-ehaameha, Hawaii. During his service he learned the barber trade, except- j ing, "however, the art of "bob curling" The native women, Clarence stated, have not as yet fallen to the style : of having their tresses trimmed. During Dur-ing all his service the Gunnison boy had the best of health and he stated that the experience gained was invaluable in-valuable to him. He like Hawaii, but thinks Utah and Utan people are nicer Clarence expects to spend some time her visiting his parents. |
