Show Highest Praise For Summer School The summer school which was. conducted con-ducted at Logan and which has just closed proved one of the most successful suc-cessful yet held. It was a wonderful opportunity and all teachers attending attend-ing gained a great deal of information informa-tion ,(t'hat will prove invaluable to them for all time and teachers from many of the western states were pre-1 sent." Thus spoke I. L. Henrie to a News reporter Tuesday upon his return re-turn from Logan where he spent the past six weeks. Mr. Henrie was ac-! companied by his wife. "Professors in all fields of nation- ' al renown were present at the school and the staff included such men as I Boyle, Carver, Frendsen,'1 Allen and ' Kilpatrick," continued Mr. Henrie,"', and in years to come the teacher who ' would better themselves for higher '. teaching should avail thmselves of the opportunity to be present at the summer schools." Before his return Mr. Henrie visited vis-ited northern Utah and Southern Idaho and he reports the crops in a ' splendid condition. In Idaho, he stat- ed, the farmers are looking forward ; to an exceptionally large yield and it is believed that the dry land wheat will yield an average of 30 bushels to the acre. In Cache valley, Mr Henrie stated, one finds the cow the mother of pros perity. The dairymen are all making good and about these places there is every sign of prosperity. Mr. Henrie stated that he would soon start lining the boys up for project pro-ject work in agriculture for another year. A plan is to be worked out to put the laboratory work of the class I room on the farm. I |
