Show Automobiles Clash; Passengers Escape The car driven by Lew Gregerson of Mayfield, and that owned by Will Dack of this city,, collided last Sunday Sun-day afternoon and that fatal results did not follow is only a miracle. In ' the Gregerson car were seven passengers pass-engers and when the two machines collided the Gregerson machine was turned turtle and all the occupants were buried underneath. Fortunately Fortunate-ly no one was hurt beyond a few' bad scratches, though Mr. Gregerson sustained sus-tained a bruised shoulder. Mr. Dack and his two passengers escaped all injury. Just as soon as possible those pinnoned under the Gregerson car were liberated from their perilous position and Mr. Gregerson was hurried hur-ried to Dr. Hagan's office. It was thought that Gregerson had sustained sustain-ed bad injuries but the examination revealed only a few bad bruises. The accident happened at the Peter Christiansen corner. Dack and his passengers were just returning from the cemetery and were headed south. The Gregerson car was headed west and it is said was traveling between twenty-five and thirty miles an hour. The Dack car, according to Mr. Dack, was going about 15 miles an hour, it being necessary to slow down on account ac-count of a bad culvert, and when the two autos came together the impact was so strong that the Gregerson car was turned upside down, and the occupants oc-cupants buried beneath. The Gregerson Greger-son car was badly wrecked, the wheels, body, fenders and many other parts being reduced to junk. The Dack car was more fortunate, escaping escap-ing with but few breaks. Mr. Dack stated that the corner where the accident happened is quite bad and dangerous, the trees and foliage at the Christiansen home obscuring ob-scuring the view of the main road, and for this reason he was unable to avoid the accident. |
