Show Local News Harold Halverson and Dean Larson motored to Salt Lake Tuesday of this week. Mrs. R. Q Dorius of Nepbi, spent this week here visiting with realtivea and j friends. I Peter Hofheins and his sons, Wilkes and Dell Hofheins, have returned from a business visit to Delta. A baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Koy Mudsen last Sunday morning. Both mother and daughter are doing nicely. A. M. Peterson, L. G. Anderson, Miss j Jesse Peterson, and Joe Smith, spent 'last Sunday visiting with friends at Richfield. W. B. Snaveley and wife, formerly of Richfield, but more recently of Salt Lake, were Gunnison visitors Tuesday of this week. Mrs. D. B. S indees, who went to Sa t Lake last Sunday has returned to Gunnison. Gunn-ison. She was called to the city on important im-portant business matters. Max Cohen, the Salina clothing merchant, mer-chant, was here Tnesday of this week. He was just returning from Salt Sake where he had been on bnsiness matters. W. O. ClufT, publicity man for the Telluride Power company, accompanied by Mrs. Clulf and son, John Burns Cluff, were here from Richfield several days this week. Mrs. F. K. Al worth and her son Frank, who spent some ten days visiting with Mrs. Alworth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Kearns, left for their home at Twin Falls, Idaho, Monday of this week. Miss Laura Ferre left for Logan last Saturday. She will spend a week at the Agricultural college taking special work. On her trip north she spent a few days visiting with friends at Salt Lake. Frank Pritmett, the Elsinore business man, was in Gunnison the early days of this week. He stated that South Sevier county was prosperous and that farmers were busy planting sugar beets, grain and other farm products. A. E. Park and children, who have been at Salt Lake for ten days or more, returned to Gunnison last Saturday. Mrs. Park, who has been quite ill, is yet indisposed and will remain at the capitot city for special treatment. Carl A. Erikson, the local engineer, left for Richfield the fore part of the week. He will assist H. S. Kerr in run-ing run-ing lines for the state highway work which is now being done in Sevier county. W. H. Gribble returned from Salt Lake Tuesday of this week. He was called there on account of the serious illness of his son in-law, E. A. Bird, who recently underwent a serious operation. Mr. Gribble stated that Mr. Bird was yet quite sick but was showing some improvement im-provement each day. Little June Duggins, who reached her fifth auniversary yesterday, entertained en-tertained eight of her little friends from 3 to 6 o'clock. Games, music and romping romp-ing were enjoyed by the guests until 1 5 o'clock when Mrs. Duggins served delicious de-licious refreshments of ice cream and cake. Many remembrances were bestowed be-stowed upon the little hostess. Daunt Sanders, until recently operating operat-ing a large ranch in the Gunnison valley, and who has been at Pacific coast cities for several weeks, came in from the west Wednesday evening. He came here for a brief visit to his family and to look after some important business affairs. He will leave Sunday for Seattle Se-attle and later Mrs. Sanders and the children will go to the northwest where Mr. and Mrs. Sanders will make their home. |
