Show WASHINGTON SCHOOL WINS The junior baseballists of this city are not far behind the Pacific Coast and National leagues in opening open-ing for the season 1922, and it is a safe bet that the enthusiasm is just as high here as It is elsewhere when It comes to the national sport. The initial gamo of the season for the Junior teams was played at Center-field Center-field last Monday, and it proved highly Interesting to both the players and the crowd that gathered. The contest was between the second team of the Washington school in Gunnison Gunni-son and the first team of the Lincoln school at Centerfield. The Washington Wash-ington kids skinned their opponents to the tune of 11 to 3 and at no time were the victors uneasy. The lineup line-up for the Gunnison boys was: Waldo Wal-do Villard, catcher; Rellis Sorenson, pitcher; Elbert Modeen, first base; Newel Mortcnsen, second base; Newel Childs, shortstop; Merrill Petersen, Pe-tersen, third base; Richard Gledhill, right field; Lynn Halverson, center field; Marion Madsen, left field; Verl Peterson and Milo Blixt, substitutes.
