Show Intensive Practice. Examiners of candidates in Massachusetts Massa-chusetts for licenses to drive motorcars motor-cars have been telling their experiences experi-ences with applicant's. One of the strangest tales was that of a novice who showed a skill in backing and turning that would have done credit to a seasoned taxi chauffeur. The applicant, however, was extremely Omid in his straightaway driving. This led the examiner to ask the applicant ap-plicant how many miles he had driven his car.- "Ninety," the other replied. "Where dM you drive mostly?" the examiner ex-aminer asked, as the car continued its serpentine course down the boulevard. "Well, you see, I thought I ought not to go out on the streets without a license, li-cense, so I practiced nights and mornings morn-ings in the back yard." Christian Science Sci-ence Monitor. |
