Show Axtell News In compliment to Mrs. Caroline Morley, an October bride, Mrs. Will NIelson, Mrs. R. B. Nielson and Mrs. Carl Nielson gave a "miscellaneous" shower at the home of the bride Thursday evening of last week. At fll o'clock a dainty luncheon was served the guests. Mrs. Morley was the recipient of many useful and costly cost-ly gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Farrel Douglas and children of Nephi returned to their home Sunday after visiting relatives and friends here. Beet digging throughout the valley val-ley was progressing most satisfactorily, satisfactor-ily, but the stormy weather the forepart fore-part of the week put a check to the work for a few days. However, with present conditions of the weather it will only be a matter of a very short time until the growers will have gathered the crop in this section. L. Davis, the Redmond merchant, representing the Fairbanks-Morse home light system, installed a system sys-tem in the home of WTill Nielson last week. The new lighting plan has proven a great success, and others are planning on making the improvement improve-ment at their homes. Last Friday evening a number of children gathered at the school house and enjoyed themselves at a Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en party, under the direction of Miss Wyroa Despain. Games and story telling were the features of the evening, after which a light luncheon was served. |
