Show Livestock Show Will Be Hummer Salt Lake's biggest and best Livestock Live-stock show The Sixth Intermountain Livestock Show is to be held at the North Salt Lake union stockyards' April 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. j j From every indication the 1923 J jshow is to eclipse all former efforts ; in exhibits of livestock in the intcr-l intcr-l mountain territory, not only from the I standpoint of exhibits offered, but in j educational and entertainment features, fea-tures, awards made to winning exhi-: I bitors and sales oportunities. j j The Sixth Annual Intermountain' Livestock Show is to be held under the auspices of the Salt Lake Cham-! her of Commerce and Commercial club, working directly through its livestock and agricultural department and an especially appointed show committee, com-mittee, with Dr. R. N. Mead, head of the Chamber of Commerce lilvestock and agricultural department as show manager and M. K. Parsons, prominent promin-ent and veteran stockman, as chairman chair-man of the show committee. All directly interested departments,: commtitees and officials have been actively at work promoting the suc-j cess of the 1923 show for the past two months and nothing has been lelft un- i done in the making of prelliininary arrangement that might lead to mak-' ing it one of the largest and most sue-' cessful of western livestock shows. Exhibotion facilities will be splendid and features lending to the enjoyment of show visitors and exhibitors will be more numerous and entertaining! than ever before in wester livestock! show history. I Of especial interest to exhibitors is the enlarged premimum list, with aggregate ag-gregate cash premiums of $7,755 and including awards in every class of livestock, as well as boys' and girls' j special prizes in various classes and I including contests. The abolition of all1 i entry fees is another point of advant-j age to exhibitors, as are the reduced railroad fares in both passenger and j freight departments of all railroads I centering in Salt Lake, j The railroads will trasport exhibits to the show at. the regular rates, but! return them free for the exhibitor.! Reduced passenger fares will also be i effective during show week. The show' will be lavish in its educational features, fea-tures, with livestock experts from the forehros fedUcmional institutions of i the west, giving to exhibitors arid '.visitors the advantages of their tech-'inical tech-'inical expertness in 11 the sections in lectures and personal talks. There jwill be various entertainment features, fea-tures, including the big banquet to .visiting stockmen, theatre parties, , boxing contests and like affairs ar-' ar-' ranged especially for stock show-week. |
