Show I LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS g C. A. Hickenlooper and family have returned from a week's visit to Wayne county towns. All sports out tomorrow afternoon to see the Gunnison-Richfield ball game at the Gunnison park. The game starts at 3:30. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jolley have returned from a weeks visit at Monroe. They were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Jolley. Mayor J. W. Jones and N. L. Her-mansen Her-mansen were Loa visitors this week. They were called there on important business matters. Mrs. Alma Fredrickson returned last Sunday evening from Salt Lake. She had been absent three weeks visiting with friends and relatives. Louis Cutler, general agent for the Inter-state Business Men's Accident association, spent several days in Gunnison Gun-nison this week in the interest of his company. Dr. Beal, the Gunnison dentist, is at Salt Lake this week, attending the annual meeting of the Utah dentists. Mrs. Beal and daughter are with relatives rela-tives and friends at Ephraim. Manager J. W. Jones, Niel Sorenson, Martin Peterson and H. W. Cherry, attended a special meeting of the Southern Utah Baseball league held at Salina last Monday evening. Ross G. Gillespie, of Tooele was here the early days of the week , meeting with the business men and citizens. Mr. Gillespie is a cement contractor and he was here gathering data on the sidewalk work with a view to submitting submit-ting bids for the building of the walks in district number two. Miss Ivie Fisher of Manti, spent last Saturday and Sunday at Centerfield as the guest of Lucile Beck. Miss Tillie Larson has gone to Green River where she will visit with friends and relatives for a week or ten days. Mr. and Mrs. L. Ludvigson have returned re-turned to Gunnison after an extended visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Nielson at Marysvale. Mrs. Annie Madsen and Leland Mad-sen, Mad-sen, motored from Green River last Monday Mon-day and were the house guests of Miss Tillie Larson for a few days this week. Mr. and Mrs. W. 0. Freese, of Davenport, Wash., left this morning for Fillmore. They have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Metcalf for a few days. Nephi Gledhill and A. E. Parkes motored to Salt Lake Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. They will transact important business matters and expect to return home tomorrow evening. Charles W. Boyd, representing the Palmer Bond & Mortgage company, Mrs. Boyd, Miss L. Johnson and Fredrick Fred-rick Boyd, of Salt Lake, spent last Saturday visiting in Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. E. Pace and family returned re-turned Monday afternoon from a short trip to Salt Lake and Farmington. They had gone north to take their son, Harold, to his home at Farmington. . Bertha Mortensen was hostess at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Willardson, last Monday afternoon to fourteen of her little friends at an anniversary party. Games, dancing and a general good time were enjoyed until five o'clock when a delicious delic-ious luncheon was served. |
