Show Valley high school for the past two years, left for Salt Lake City this, morning. Miss llcntlrickson expects to secure a position at Salt Lake in one of the schools as teacher of domestic science. j Mrs. C. II. Hart, who w:s called here on account of the illness of her 1 mother, Mrs. C. Modeen, ret urned to her home at Bingham the first of the week. She was accompanied by her niece, Miss Elna Modeen, and the latter will spend some time visiting visit-ing at the mining camp. The members of the Bonne Foi club were guests of Mrs. Will Cribble Crib-ble at her home yesterday afternoon from two to five o'clock. The usual , good time at neediecral't and a reading read-ing by Mrs. G rover Childs were enjoyed. en-joyed. Light refreshments were served. Mrs. J. B. Jensen, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. La-vor La-vor Voorhees, for the past two wool s, left for her home at Grace, Idaho, Monday morning. She was accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Voorhees and the latter lat-ter expects to he absent for some time visiting with her parents. The Parent-Teachers association entertained for the 'faculty of the Lincoln school at Centerfield the early part of last week. The affair was held' at the meeting house and a delightful time was enjoyed in games and music. Delicious refreshments were served the honored guests and their friends. Mrs. R. J. Parr entertained the members of the Royal Neighbors at her home last Saturday afternoon from two to five thirty. Progressive Progres-sive Five Hundred was the diversion and honors were won by Mrs. Ira Overfelt and Mrs. J. S. Peterson. Delicious refreshments were served the guests. Mrs. J. Miss Edna Nelson visited with friends at Salt Lake last Friday and Saturday. Miss Alia Ross left for Lehi the early part of this week for a visit to relatives. I Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Parr motored to i Salt Lake last Sunday, returning home Tuesday. H. A. Kearns, the grain man, is in Salt Lake this week on important business matters. Mrs. II. T. Wright of Salina is the house guest of her daughter, Mrs. R. C. Norman, this week. Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Stub'bs of Richfield, Rich-field, attended the senior dance and band conceit at the high school last Friday night. Rex Kearns, who has been absent at Salt Lake and other northern j KdMes, ro'u'iied to his home in Gun-i nison last Saturday. j Mis. Dean Brown, Miss Barbara and "Bill" Brown, of Salina, are the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Kearns this week. Archie Sorenson, with the Tintic Standard mining company at Eureka, is spending a few days in the city, visiting with Mrs. Sorenson. Mrs. Joe Mortensen entertained for Mrs. Bert Willardson last week, at a dinner party. A three-course chicken dinner was served to ten guests. Newell Itofheins, who has been attending at-tending school at American Fork, has returned to Gunnison and has accepted a position with the Tellu-ride Tellu-ride Power company. S. Leiberman, a former resident of the valley, but now a business man of Philadelphia, Pa., is in the city this week. Mr. Leiberman was called call-ed here on important business matters. mat-ters. Miss Jepson Jep-son returned north this morning. A. R. Ferris of Springville, came in Tuesday evening and has taken charge of the station for the D. & R. G.-W. Peterson, Miss Vada Peterson Pet-erson and Miss Edna Clements were northbound travelers Monday morning. morn-ing. They will visit at American Folk and Salt Lake for a week. A. T. Chrstiarsen, who has been here on an extended visit to his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mis. Peter Christiansen, Christian-sen, left last Saturday for the north. He will he absent indefinitely at Salt Lake and Provo. Mrs. Bert Willardson, who is visiting visit-ing here from Salt Lake, entertained for the 0'. N. 0. Club at the home of Mrs. Joe Willardson last Saturday evening. Needlecraft and a delicious luncheon were enjoyed by the guests. Mrs. Floyd Beck entertained a number of friends at a social card party yesterday afternoon. Mrs. II. A. Kearns and Mrs. Tony Willardson were prize winners at the contest.
