Show Marketgram For week ending July 22: DAIHY PRODUCTS Butter markets mar-kets steady during the week but unsettled un-settled a.t the close and the confident tone of a week ago is lacking. Movement Move-ment ii.to storage still continues. Prices 92 score butter: New York, 42c; Chicago 40 Vic; Philadelphia, 411,c; Boston, 43c. Cheese markets very firm and average av-erage fully three cents higher than a week ago. Wisconsin primary market prices: Twins, 19 c; Daisies, Dai-sies, 20Mc; Double Daisies, 201&c; Longhorns, 23V&C. GRAIN Prices averaged lower for week, although trend -was indefinite and trading was only fair. Sentiment Senti-ment was inclined to be bullish but traders were discouraged over failure fail-ure cf public to buy briskly and the lack of sustained export demand. In Chicago cash market No. 2 red winter win-ter wheat closed $1-24; No. 2 hard, $1.25; No. 3 yellow corn, no sale made! No. 3 mixed corn, 63c; No. 3 new white oats, 37c. For tlie week Chicago July wheat dropped 6c, closing at $1.24; Chicago September wheat dropped 7c, closing at $1.25 Vs; September corn YtC lower e.t 61 c. Minneapolis Minneap-olis September wheat dropped &V2c lower, closing at $1.30. Kansas City September wheat dropped 9c, closing at $1-14. HAY Market steady with prices in eastern markets about $1 higher than one week ago. Receipts generally gener-ally light in all markets, and country loadings small in central west. FEED Market dull. Prices unchanged. un-changed. Storage stocks of wheat mill feeds larger. Jobbers holding prices firm but buyers reluctant to lake hold at advance. LIVESTOCK AND MEATS During Dur-ing the week hogs gained 75c; steers practically unchanged; cows and heifers and better grades of feeder steers declined a quarter, lower grades, 50c; better grades of veal calves also down a quarter; lambs and yearlings steady; ewes gained 15c-25c. July 22 Chicago prices: Hogs, top, $11.15; bulk of sales, $9.25-$11.10 ; medium and good beef steers, $7.25-$9.25; butcher cows and heifers, $3.75-$8.75; feeder steers, $5-$7.25; light and medium weight veal calves, $9-$ 11; fat lambs, $6-$7.15; yearlings, $6-$8.50; fat ewes, $3.25-$5.50. Western dressed beef eastern markets mar-kets advanced 50c during the week on better grades; veal steady; lambs down $5-$ 6; mutton up $l-$2 on better bet-ter grades; light pork loins advanced $l-$2; heavy loins declined $3-$ 4. July 22 prices for good grade meats: Beef, $14-$16; veal, $16-$18; lambs, $20-$23; mutton, $15-$18; light pork loins, $23-$25; ' heavy loins $16-$20. |
