Show Local News Miss Gladys Larson and Miss Margaret Mar-garet Johnson returned the first of the week from a ten-day visit to Salt Lake. J. M. Knighton was in Salt Lake several clays this week looking after matters pertaining to the new high school building. Miss Linda Bardsley, postmistress at Gunnison, was called to Levan last Saturday to attend the burial services of her cousin, Miss Deon Jennings. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tuft, and Dean and Max Tuft, of Monroe, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Swain for a few days this week. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Basow and the Basow children retrned the first of the week from a short pleasure trip to Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs Lawrence Hermansen retutned to their home at Fountain Green today after having spent a week here with friends. They were ac-, companied by Ray Hermansen' O. H. Halverson left for the state capital the first of the week. Mr. Halverson will be absent for some time, combining busine. with pleasure. pleas-ure. George Francis, W. V. Swain, L. L. Chiids and Henry Knighton were among those frorll G-nnnison who attended at-tended the Rodeo at Manti last Mon- day. Leonard , Jepson and LaBarth Fjeldstod motored to Logan the early days of the week. They expect to be gone a wee or more, and will visit in many of the northern Utah towns. Nephi Gledhi.ll, accompanied by Miss Stella Duffin, went to Salt Lake yesterday morning. Miss Duffin is returning to her music studies at the capitol city and Mr. Gledhill will combine business w ith pleasure for a few days. Wallace G. Hunter, special superintendent super-intendent of Utah for the Kansas City Life Insurance company, with 'Headquarters at Salt Lake, was here yesterday in the interests of his company. com-pany. J. T. Jones, the well known banker, bank-er, came in last night from Salt Lake. He will be here a few days nisitivg with his sons. Mayor J. W. Jones and F. H. Jones of the Gunnison Valley bank. |
