Show Valley sugar factory. Mr. C'lppfr.Huring his absence, was employed at the Santa Anna, Calf., ami Fallon, Nevada, factories. Mrs. H. A. Kearns received a telegram tele-gram last Monday from her sister, Mrs. Alfred Belitz, at Tippen, Wis., stating that Emmett Belitz, the 18- year- old son of Mr. and Mrs. Belitz had died very suddenly. None of the particulars were contained in the message. Mrs. Belitz is well known in Gunnison, her maiden name being Anna Robbins. Mr. and Mrs. Will J. Gribble were host and hostess at a "500" party last Tuesday evening, given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. T. 0. H. Bogalsky, who were visiting friends in this city. Besides the honor guests, Mr. and- Mrs. W. H. Gribble, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Knighton and Mr. and Mrs. Niel Sorenson were present. At ten o'clockdainty refreshments refresh-ments were served. Local News Wiliam Metcalf and Claud Michelson returned yesterday from a short bisness visit to Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Okelberry and Miss Virginia Okelberry, of Goshen, were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt last Saturday and Sunday. Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Hagan left for Salt Lake yesterday mornig. They will spend a few days at the capitol city visiting friends and expect to return Sunday evening. T. W. Norton of Ogden, and who has been associated with the Utah-Idaho sugar company, has accepted a position as day superintendent at the Gunnison Vally sugar factory. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Ferre and Mrs. A. A. Ferre returned last Sunday evening eve-ning from Fillmore. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Clothier at a Thanksgiving dinner. Howard Norman, who has been with the Bear Drainage Company during the past summer, returned to Gunnison last evening. His company has a contract at Redmond and work will commence next Monday. Mr. and Mrs. T. 0. H. Bogalsky.who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. II. Gribble for the past three weeks, left for California yesterday. After a short stay at San Francisco, they will go to Florida, expecting to spend the winter there. The Bos Art club was the guest at the home of Mrs. K. J. Parr Wednesday afternoon of this week. Mrs G. Q. Christensen give the reading while the members devoted the time to needle-craft. needle-craft. At five o'clock the hostess served a delicious lunch. Mrs. June Metcalf was hostess to a number of her friends at a dinner party at her home last Friday evening. Only immediate members of the family were present and covers were laid for twelve. Following the dinner the guests attended the Legion dance. Mrs. Joseph Willardson entertained at a dinner party last Sunday, the honor guests being Miss Minerva Willardson, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Jensen and Robert Nielson of Ephraim. and Miss Zelma Willardson of Mayfield. Other guests were present and covers were laid for nine. Mrs. J. A. Hagan was hostess to the members of the Bonne Foi club at her home Tuesday afternoon from two to five o ' clock. A short business session, followed by needlecraft, occupied the time of the members until four-thirty, when the hostess served a delicious luncheon. W. F.
