There is a bright future before be-fore this people, hence it was pleasing to him to view the situation situa-tion of the people of this church. There was necessity for continual diligence of the people. Spoke of the waywardness of the young people, but there is a labor for them which will bring them in line as directed by the Priesthood. We live in eventful times. Referred Re-ferred to the sayings of the ancients, an-cients, particularly of the Prophet Daniel. Referred to the disobedience disobedi-ence of the people who were led to this land; although warned and forewarned were led into a crisis; even to the destroying of them by war, until the Prophet Moroni had to bury in the earth the records of that people. There is a labor for ns who have received the message' as taught by this people. This is an individual labor and none need look at the life of another, but all can enjoy the blessings held out to the faithful. We must be one in heart and in mind and be led by the Priesthood and not given to the vanities of the wicked world. Referred Re-ferred to the United Order and the view we had when that principle prin-ciple was introduced amongst us years ago. It did not seem to be a success at that time, but it will come sooner or later. Notices read of conferences to be held diflerent dnys this week. Choir sang an anthem. Benediction by Elder J. B. McMaster. |
