Gcnia S. Peirce presiding. Opened by singing. ; Roll called and minutes of the 1 previous meeting were read and accepted. Mrs. Annie J. Wixom was chosen to act as critic. Mrs. Rachel Evnns gave a very interesting sketch of the life of Charlotte Bronte, a great literary woman. She was a lover of literature litera-ture from a very early age; her first production of fiction was the well known novel, Jane Eyre. Mrs. Sadie P. Stohl gave a short lecture on Civil Government; gave the definition of a colony in a clear manner, also a description uf a civilized and uncivilized colony. The Laws of the Constitution of the Woman's Suffrage were read by Mrs. Olive Bywater. Recitation by Miss Clara Gidney entitled ''The Life Boat." Mrs. Crawford had been highly edified and would like if we could get more people interested in our meetings. 1 Mrs. Rachel Evans spoke of Memorial Bay and the part the ladies were taking in helping to ' make the day a success. Pres. Gonia S. Peirce made a few remarks; gave notice of the executive ex-ecutive meeting fo be held Tuesday, Tues-day, June 13th, 1S93. Critic's report read, amended and accepted.
