T here are between be-tween (100 and S00 orchards in town, and as a rule they are kept up in a commendable manner. A large portion of our citizens are making the most of the land they have under cultivation. Besides raising large quantities of fruit and garden products for sale, the people display a laudable zeal in beautifying their premises with shade trees, shrubbery and flowers of choice varieties. But the most beautiful thing of all about our pretty little city is that the people, peo-ple, with very few exceptions, own the house in which the' live and the land upon which it is built. We are truly a blessed people. |
