Let us hope that all will support this educational ed-ucational movement and make this the best show Sanpete has ever had. SANPETE COUNTY EXTENSION NEWS. Irrigation Problems Well Under Way. Last week Prof. L. M. Winsor, Win-sor, Irrigation Engineer of the College Col-lege spent several days studying lo-col lo-col irrigation problems and assisting the farmers with the same. Spring City now has a petition signed by practically 100 per cent of the farmers farm-ers to incorporate the irrigation waters of their city. Prof. Winsor met with the irrigation board and discussed matters of further procedure proced-ure with them in detail. It was tentatively ten-tatively decided and very likely this tentative decision will be made permanent, per-manent, to cut their ten classes of water rights down to two classes in the new organization. The committee commit-tee is now drawing up the incorporation incorpor-ation papers basing their new classification clas-sification on the old decree. The new diversion dam that has been' installed under Prof. Winsor's direction at the niounth of Canal Canyon at Spring City was not completed com-pleted when the worst flood in forty years tore down through it. It stood the test and came out of it with very little damage. Rocks weighing more than 15 tons were not able to dis-! i |
