While in the1 city Mr. Parr made several selec- tions for much of his fall and winter dresses and clothing. Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Fredrickson .son and family, of salt Lake, re-son re-son and fomily, of Salt Lake, returned re-turned to their home Saturday after having spent several days here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Willardson. Mrs. J. II. Salmon and children, who have resided here for the past year or more, left for McGill, Nevada Nev-ada yesterday morning. Mr. Salmon is employed at the mining camp and the family expect to -make their permanent per-manent home there. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Edmonds had as their guest last Monday, Bishop and Mrs. Steven Richards and son, Mrs. Stephen Covey, Mr. and Mrs. Stayner Richards and Claude Richards Rich-ards of Salt Lake. The party were just returning from a trip to Bryce Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Madscn expect to leave the latter part of the week for Paris. Idaho. Mr. Madsen has LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST. Burton Bastian left for Salt Lake after a short visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Basian. Mrs. Hannah Rasmussen, of Ephraim Eph-raim is here and the guest of her son, Charles Rasmussen. LaBarth Fjeldsted went to Provo the early part of the week. He will j attend school at the Garden City during the coming winter. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Christiansen of Nepbi, were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Christiansen of Gunnison, last week. Mrs. Dutch Klin an of Magna, is the fnest at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Ferro, Sr. Mrs. Klman will be here for a week or ten days. Miss Kmily Fleming of (he Wasatch Was-atch academy, Mt. Pleasant, is the guest this week of Miss Josie Curtis and Miss L. S. McMonigal of this city. Thursday evening of last week Miss Lueile Jensen entertained in honor of Misses Vera Bown and Iva Cribble. Luncheon was served to thirteen guests. Mrs. H. S. Gates and daughters, Mrs. Lincoln Crane and Helda, Helen and Charlotte Gates, and Miss Kate McKenna of Salina, were the guests at the home of Mrs. Hugh Kearns last Saturday. Jake Earnson returned to Salt Lake this week after a brief visit with his parents here. He will attend at-tend the L. D. S. College at the cap-itol cap-itol city. Bert Newman left for Stockton, Tooele county, yesterday morning. Mr. Newman has been appointed principal of t he Stockton schools which will convene for the winter term next Monday. Mrs. Hannah Jepson and Mrs. Lenno Rosenvall tendered a shower for Mrs. Leslie Jepson last Saturday afternoon. Five Hundred and a delicious de-licious luncheon were the diversions of the afternoon. Prizes were won been appointed to a position at the high school at Paris and his school will open about the middle of September. Sep-tember. The Madsens will return to this valley when the school term closes in the spring. Mrs. C. C. Edmonds entertained 14 little folks Monday afternoon complimentary to her son, Clyde Edmonds, Ed-monds, Jr., it being his anniversary. The little guests enjoyed a delight-, ful time at games and romping on the lawn. At four-thirty delicious refreshments were served to the visitors. vis-itors. Will J. Peters, editor of the Garfield Gar-field County News, at Panguitch, was here Sunday for a brief visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Francis. Returning Mr. Peters was accompanied by Little Miss Adele Francis, and the latter will visit with Mr. and Mrs. Peters for three weeks or a month. |
