Show South Sanpete Wants To Ee In County commissioners throughout the state have been asked, through a letter sent out by H. C. Means, state road engineer, to make a survey of the maintenance work required for state roads in their respective counties coun-ties this year, and urging that a definite defi-nite amount be set aside for expenditure expendi-ture for such work. Through this medium, it is hoped, a definite road program may be mapped out to the extent that at least all work absolutely necessary for maintenance of state roads may be accomplished as early in the coming com-ing season as practical. It is thought by the state road officials of-ficials that with something definite to work to, in the matter of finances, a much better selection of work can be made than if work is undertaken in haphazard manner until funds are no longer available. It is to be sincerely hoped that south Sanpete county, insofar as state roads are concerned, will be included in-cluded in the survey. During most of the past year the roads south and leading to the Sevier county line have either been a sea of mud or travelers were forced to travel through clouds of dust. |
