Show Gunnison Youths Get Stiff Sentence 1 I ' At Manti last Monday, Theodore Jensen and Clarence Jensen, brothers, broth-ers, and Austin Larson, all of this city, pleaded guilty to a charge of burglary, and each was given a sentence sen-tence in the county jail of 60 days, and in addition to this each of the boys will have to pay a fine of $100. Sentence started at once and the young men who committed the crime will have to serve the time allotted by the court. Last August the New Method Vulcanizing Vul-canizing plant was burglarized and several hundred dollars in tires and tubes were stolen. Entrance to the place was gained by breaking the lock on the front door. Immediately officers began investigation and it was first thought that the theft had been committed by parties traveling through the country ana little hope of recovering the articles stolen was about given up. Some time afterwards, however, one of the stolen tires was discovered on a car owned by a citizen of Gunnison, Gun-nison, and when an investigation was started the burglary was traced to the Jensen boys, who involved the Larson youth. When confronted with- the theft the. boys made a confession. The officers were led to where the stolen property was cached and practically prac-tically all of it was recovered and returned re-turned to the owner. Arrests followed fol-lowed and the boys were given their liberty on hail. Realizing their error they all pled guilty and were let off With the tines as stated above. |
