Show FISH TURN TO STONE. Can you imagine a fine and dandy catch of the speckled beauties, caught by the editor, cleaned by the same and prepared for transportation transporta-tion of 120 miles to feed a hungry wife and baby, turning to stone? But that is just what happened to the pen artist of the News. And it happened this way: On a recent fishing trip to Garfield county tb.3 said editor caught many beauties and had them all prepared to, carry home cleaned, wrapped and ready J.o fry. They were loaded into the auto and when the cartage was unloaded and in the eagerness to show the merits of an angler, the wife and baby were shown the stone for that is what was found in the place where the fish should have been. The fish had been hypothecated and a large stone substituted. We will not mention men-tion any names but if any one wishes further information just ask either Ira Overfelt, Harry Roylance, Miles Madsen or Julius Duggins. |
