McCampbell, associate asso-ciate professor of animal husbandry In the Kansas State Agricultural college. "Under normal conditions," said Doctor McCampbell, "Kansas cultivates culti-vates annually 20,000 acres of land. There are 700,000 horses and mules In Kansas of suitable age and condition, for farm work. With a normal acreage one horse would be required to do the-work the-work of cultivating approximately 30 acres, which is ordinarily considered a good season's work for a horse.
