STORM VICTIMS RESCUED. Eleven Days Without Food or Water in a Lighthouse. Miami, Fla. Eleven days without food or water, twelve survivors of the recent hurricane, huddled in a lighthouse light-house on North Elbow Cay, a small island in the Florida straits, which was swept clean of every vestige of human habitation during the storm, were located Monday by a submarine submar-ine chaser which brought back a story of devastation and human suffering unsurpassed by any that has come from the storm area. Huge waves sweeping over the island is-land carried away sepulchres containing contain-ing the bodies of former inhabitants, it was reported ; swept all livestock into the sea and destroyed other food supplies, leaving the inhabitants, .-v4rfi?tv only hope of survival lay in the impregnability of the lighthouse in which they gathered, absolutely destitute.
