Show Stage Is Set For Grand Celebration at Factory Gunnison Valley Will Commemorate the Opening of New Structure In Elaborate Elab-orate Style-Excellent Program Everybody Invited. J The Houi- At two o'clock in tho afternoon. ep The Occasion Formal open- 1 ing of the Gunnison Valley $ Sugar factorj'. cL The stage Is set and one of the best programs of songs, music, speechmaking, sports and other amusing diversions, has been prepared prepar-ed for the formal opening of the Gunnison Gun-nison Valley Sugar factory next Monday Mon-day afternoon. The festivities are scheduled to start promptly at 2:00 o'clock and the celebration promises to equal any ever held in the county. In addition to local numbers on the program, officials of the company from Salt Lake and Manti, including W. Harvey Ross, general manager, R. T. Harris, director, Geo. N. Lawrence, Law-rence, secretary and treasurer, all of Salt Lake.' and E. D. Sorenson, director, di-rector, from Manti, will be here and participate. Starting at 2 o'clock the program of music and addresses will be given. Immediately following the program refreshments of ice cream, cake, fruit and other delicacies will be served to all visitors. For the benefit of the visitors the factory wheels will be started and competent guides will escort all through the building and everyone will be given a chance to see the process used In the manufacture manufac-ture of sugar. The committee having the program of sports in charge for the occasion has some interesting numbers and after inspection of the factory this program will be started. There will be some classy horse ra?es, wrestling matches, boxing contests, foot races and many other interesting numbers. Lawrence Address Chris A. Peterson Selection Double Quartet In the evening there will be a grand dance at the big store room at the factory. This spacious room will be cleared for the occasion and arranged ar-ranged to accommodate a big crowd and with the presence of the Gunnison Gunni-son orchestra, all will be expected to join in and wind up the festivities with a royal good time. Not one cent will be charged for this occasion and neither are the invitations in-vitations extended to the valley residents, resi-dents, but all of Utah is invited to come and have a good time. The committee invites you to forget "dull care" for the afternoon and be the guests at the opening. |
