Lake City was the fuesl at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. E. Sorenson, several days this week. Guy Eriekson, who only recently receiv-d his discharge from army service, was here with his father, Lowry Eriekson, Tuesday of this week. Guy has a host of friends here and he was warmly greeted. John Dastian has returned from an extended visit, to relatives at Loa. Mrs. W. I!. Howells and Miss Ruth Ho wells, mother and sister to Mrs. Ira Overfolt, were arrivals from Hawk Toint, Mo., last Sunday evening. even-ing. They will he the guests at the Overfolt home for some time. C. M. Madsen, who spent a few days visiting with his daughter, Mrs. J. H. Salmon, at McGill, Nevada, returned re-turned home Tuesday evening. Mr. Madsen reports Ely and McGill, the big copper centers, as flourishing. F. W. Harvey Ross, president of the Gunnison Valley Sugar company, was hero several days this week on an official visit and inspection of the new factory. Miss Zola Soronon of Sail I.:ilc; City spent last Saturday evening wii.li her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Sorenson. Sor-enson. Mr. and Mrs. Ira OveiiYli, Mrs. S. P. Overtoil, W. R. Overfolt and Lois and Helen Overfolt, motored to R.i h-field h-field last Sunday. S. Peter Peterson, editor of the Manti Messenger, accompanied by Mrs. Peterson, and daughter Mabel, spent last Sunday with friends in Gun nison. A. G. Dunn, special representative for the Majestic range manufacturers, manufactur-ers, is here this week from St. Louis, giving demonstrations at the Gunnison Gunni-son Valley Furniture company. Erick Uosonvall, the contractor, left for coast points last Sunday morning. Mr. Uosonvall will go to Los Angeles, visiting several of the winter resorts in the vicinity. He expects ex-pects to be absent three weeks or more. Mrs. Helen Jlofheins, who has been absent in Salt Lake for the past two weeks, returned home Monday evening. Mrs. Hofheins was called to Salt Lake on account of the serious seri-ous illness of her son, Lelahd, who had been suffering from an attack, of pneumonia. Leland is reported to be progressing very nicely and having passed the critical stage, his recovery recov-ery is now only a matter of a short time. |
