Show RUN DOWN BY AUTO; GIRL PAINFULLY HURT Marie Gledhill, the 13-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gledhill of this city, escaped serious injury when she was run down by an automobile automo-bile driven by R. J. Johnson of Richfield Rich-field early Wednesday afternoon. That she was not more seriously injured is a miracle and she escaped with a bad cut on the back of the head, severe bruises on the legs and body and a severe shaking shak-ing up. Marie, with a number of young friends, was on her way to the Sugar factory. The girls were riding bicycles and when on the Sanpitch bridge the Johnson car came along and in the confusion con-fusion Marie was thrown, the automo bile passing over her. It is not thought the wheels passed over her, but in some manner she received a bad cut on the head in which an artery was severed and from which she bled freely. Mr. Johnson placed the injured girl in his car and hurried her to Dr. Ha-gan's Ha-gan's office where first-aid treatment was given. Later Marie was taken to her home and reports this morning are to the effect that she was recovering nicely. The bicycle upon Marie was riding was completely demolisned. |
