Gleason says Dick Kerr had the same fault when he joined the White Sox in the training camp, and the Kid had a serious talk wilh Kerr about it. "You throw your fast one with it side arm motion, your curve with an overhand throw,'' Gleason said to Kerr. "You can't get by that way." "I got by all right in the Southern and American Association," Associ-ation," replied Kerr. "That may be so but you will never get by in this league if you uon i siop reiegrapmng, retorted Gleason and he set out to show- Kerr how' to turn the trick. |
