Show Street Meeting Sunday night a large crowd was attracted at a meeting held under the direction of bishop Swalberg and counsel on Main street. The ward choir, led by Fred J. Fjeldsted sang a number of hymns before and after the speaking. Bishop Joseph Christenson of Salt Lake 10th ward gave a half-hour discourse dis-course on doctrinal topics, their saving sav-ing power and moral uplift, lncir dentally, Bishop Christenson spoke about the great need of a new meet: inghouse for Gunnison ward, having been informed that a move was on foot to start one but that some fear of its accomplishment was manifest. He told his experience in getting a meetinghouse built for his '. ward which been accomplished through rigorous determination. He encouraged encour-aged the people here to make the venture, and by using economy In the expenditures required they would succeed. The street meeting met witli such favor that a desire is expressed by quite number or people to see them continued. |
