Show Local Echoes. F rederlk Ludvlgson passed the hoi Jday at Salt Lake. A number of Gunnison people are recreating at Fish Lake or In Twelve Mile canyon. Yesterday Mrs T.F. Kearns entertained enter-tained In honor of Mrs. E. J. Kearns who is here from Salt Lake to visit ralatlves. J. II. Erlokson and family are visiting visit-ing from Frulta, Col. for a few weeks. The Social Circle club members were guests of Miss Vlo Sorenson for their meeting Wednesday afternoon. Miss Sorenson read to her guests from Stoddard's "Yellowstone Fark," while sewing was taken up. She also served delicious refreshments. Mrs. Malmgren entertained the G. A. club last Thursday afternoon, when thirteen members responded to I C. E. Ilalverson and family will leaye in course of a day or two to Spend a vacation for a month at Fish Lake and other points. S. P. Blake of Idaho will have charge of the barber bar-ber shop during the absence of Mr. lalverson. Messrs. Ross and Lynn Knighton were In Gunnison during the week, occasioned by the serious illness of their father George II. Knighton. The game of baseball between the married and unmarried men on the 24th was interrupted by the rain. A few turned out and played two in-ninp in-ninp with a final score of 4 to 3 in favor of the married side. roll call. Mesdames Fisher and Olson Ol-son of Centerfield, Mrs. Ted Smith of Idaho Falls, and Miss Ludeen Chris-tensen Chris-tensen were invited guests. At the close of business meeting the hostess served icecream, cake and lemonade. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Albert Swain, August 3. Program for the Beehive general swarm meeting to be held Monday evening, July 31, at 8:30 p. m. in the J E. S. hall: Talk, Mrs. Annie Stanton. Song, Mrs. Lamb. Recitation, Ruth Perkins. Piano solo, Etta Jepson. Reading, Lorena Peterson. All the girls and mothers are invited. |
