Show last Tuesday afternoon. One of the features of the program was a lesson on the "Women of the Orient," by Mrs. Villard. After the program refreshments re-freshments were served by Mrs. Albert Al-bert Swain and Miss Josie Curtis. E. A. Porter, water commissioner for the Lower Sevier river district, accompanied by Mrs. Porter, left Tuesday morning for Delta. Mr. Porter will be busy a month or more doing field and construction work at Delta, after which he and Mrs. Porter Por-ter will go to Salt Lake for the winter. win-ter. They expect to return to Gunnison Gun-nison some time during the early coming spring. Local and Personal Warms Jensen, the miller, has returned re-turned home from a short business visit to Salt Lake. Mrs. T. F. Kearns, a sister to Mrs. Leo Gledhill, is here from Salt Lake for a week's visit with Mrs. Gledhill and friends. ' Ronald Norman of the J. C. Penney Pen-ney company, spent the early days of this week visiting with his parents par-ents at Richfield. Mrs. S. F. Overfelt and son, W. R. Overfelt, mother and brother to Ira Overfelt, were the guests at the lat-ter's lat-ter's home this week from Goshen. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Overfelt, the Misses Lois and Helen Overfelt, were auto travelers to Goshen last Friday evening. They remained until Monday Mon-day morning visiting with relatives. Dick Collett of the clerical forces of the Gunnison Valley bank, left for Salt Lake last Sunday, having been summoned there by the death of a relative of Mrs. Collett. He returned re-turned Wednesday evening. Lester Je.psoiu with the L. Frank Mercantile company at Nephi, was here for several days this week looking look-ing after the Gunnison store during the absence of Manager Reigert in Salt Lake City. Mrs. H. W. Schnell, a sister to Cashier J. W. Jones of the Gunnison Valley bank, came in from Salt Lake Tuesday, being accompanied by Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Schnell left today for her home at Kalispell. Mont. Duggins entertained a number of friends informally at her home last Monday at "500." Four tables were played and Mrs. James Bovvn was winner of the first prize, while the second went to Mrs. R. Jones, who has been in Salt Lake for the past three months or more under the care of a specialist, special-ist, returned to her home in Gunnison Gunni-son Tuesday evening of this week. While away Mrs. Jones underwent a minor operation and her many friends will be pleased to know that she is fast regaining her health.
