Show Miner Falls Fifteen Hundred Feet. Butte, Mont. Haspis Sirois was killed at the Moonlight mine Saturday. Sirois, with John Sloan, was coming upon up-on the cage, when, through some unknown un-known cause, the cage got away and ran up into the sheaves at a rapid rate. It turned to one side and Sirois was thrown off and dropped down into the shaft, going into the sump, a distance dis-tance of about 1,500 feet. Sloan was thrown to one side and alighted on the roof of a shack nearby. He was not badly injured. |
