Show STREET CAR STRIKE SETTLED. Pittsburg Workmen Win Every Point for Which They Contended. Pittsburg, Pa. At 10:30 Monday night, through the efforts of Mayor William A. Magee of Pittsburg, the strike of the street car men was adjusted ad-justed and the workmen returned to their cars at 5 o'clock a. m., Tuesday, after having been out just forty-eight hours. It is a seeming complete victory vic-tory for the men. Every point was conceded by the company save that of drinking in uniform, even though off duty. The streets are filled with jubilant' street car men rejoicing over the victory. It is conceded that the mayor's threat to seize the street car lines caused the settlement. |
