A Republican meeting was held at our school house last Saturday, May 2Sth? where E. Box and B. Jones expounded the principles of republicanism to the conviction of some, and sprouted the germ of Republicanism in the souls of many. We dry farmers greatly appreciate appre-ciate the late rain, we can well afford af-ford to rest oh rainy days. Decoration Day was observed by the people of town. The cemetery was covered with a mass of humanity, hu-manity, (dead and alive,) graves were decorated, and several loads of satre and rubbish were hauled away. Trees and beautiful lots of (lowers are growing upon our cemetery, ceme-tery, which is watered daily by Bear River water. In last Sunday's services, the scriptures were quoted and defined exquisitely, by Elder Ben E. Rich, for an hour and a half.
