H is learned that the San Francisco and Salt Lake Railway company have selected one of those routes and have surveyors now on that line running levels to estimate the grade, a well-known engineer engi-neer named Cleveland having charge of the work. It is estimated that the line will be in operation in three years from July 1st. To guard against the new road being gobbled by the Southern Pacific, and to secure the San Francisco capitalists who have contributed con-tributed $5,000,000, the stock is placed in the control of trustees for ten years, and none is to pass from the hands of the boards till the end of that period.
