During the great Hood at Folsom last August Mrs. Rook who realized the danger.. stuck to her post, warning the farmers of the valley val-ley by telephone until the telephone station was overwhelmed by the wat ers. Her action saved hundreds o! lives. Mrs. Rook wac a cripple and the skeleton was identified by the de formed spine.
