Show i According to those twin brothers of harmony, the editor of the Deseret News and the eauor of the Tribune; it would be a terrible thing to .hold the Jefferles-Johnson fight here, but present prospects pros-pects would indicate that we are to have the big contest, and that it will be hold at Saltair. Those who have known Tex Rickard of old, know that he is not prone to say things he does not mean, and with his and other assurances that have been made since the papers were signed, It is thought there is little chance for the plans to fail. The coming of the great contest con-test here will mean more to Salt Lake than even the most optimistic can calculate, and rather than being a detriment, will, be not only a great advertisement, ad-vertisement, but tho financial results to the city and state will be great. As long as the fight is not to be held in the city proper, it is to be hoped that there will be no greater obstacles to its coming com-ing than such editorials as have already appeared and the possible protest of the fearful and wonderful won-derful Ministerial Association. |
