Show The election of officers of the Commercial Club for the ensuing year took place on Tuesday, at the first meeting of the new board, when Joy H. Johnson was elected president, George T. Odell vice president, Joseph B. Calne secretary, Harry P. Clark treasurer, and F. P. Terriberry assistant assist-ant secretary. The election of Mr. Johnson to the presidency of the Club is a merited honor to one of the Club's most active and influential members, mem-bers, and in honoring Mr. Johnson with the place JOY H. JOHNSON Newly Elected President of the Commercial Club the action of the board met with the approval of all of those interested in the welfare of the Club. His election is especially favored by the comparatively younger members, who really are a very strong force in tne organization. Mr. Johnson is one of the most popular of the city's business men and is thoroughly Imbued with the spirit of progress needed for one who assumes such a responsible position. Both the Club and Mr. Johnson are to be congratulated. No better choices could have been made for the other positions, and the Club starts the New Year with its affairs in the most capable hands. |
