Show -T r "WILDFIRE" A HIT. As long as Will Archie offers his inimitable "Bud" or some other equally clever chap is dis- I covered who can do as much with the stable boy character in "Wildfire," that Broadhurst-Hobart comedy will be worth an evening every season or so, and this, if Mrs. Barrington never geia into better hands or younger than Pauline Hall's. It is one of those plays depending for its charm and entertainment on such a happy combi- i nation as Mr. Archie brings to its presentation and other considerations are so largely subser- i vient that they must be in very poor dress and form to completely spoil the entertainment. This I week is the first that has seen "Wildfire" at a local house since Mr. Archie and Lillian Russell captivated the regulars. The show is at the Colonial Colo-nial and is the banner attraction, theatrically of the week about town. Mr. Archie from his long association with the play, seems more than ever responsible for one's keen enjoyment ot u u-mor. u-mor. Mr. Edwards as Garrison, J. K. Hutchinson ! as Donovan, Charles Walton as Sanderson, John Cavanaugh as Duffy, Cecil Lyndon as the English fop and Nick Basil as Raster form a fine support ; for Mr. Archie's work. i |
