Show The month thus far has witnessed unusual activity in the sale of residences on what is known as the north bench In Salt Lake. "The North Bench Circle" is the very latest acquisition to the social and improvement circles of Salt Lake and its members are made up almost entirely of residents of that section of the city and number the majority of those who have recently purchased pur-chased homes on the north bench! It is organized for social pleasure to a certain extent, but its real purpose and object is for the improvement and beautifying of the north bench lawns and trees. A large number of residents of that section, sec-tion, realizing the superior location and the great possibilities of that portion of town, are anxious to encourage the beautifying of lawns by adding flowers and shrubbery to the already attractive district, and if their plans are carried out, tne north bench will unquestionably be one of the most beautiful sections of Salt Lake. During the past ten days two of the most beautiful beau-tiful homes erected there have been sold. While during the past year the record of building on the bench has been phenomenal, the tide is sweeping sweep-ing on with increasing force and handsome modern mo-dern bungalows and houses are springing up on every hand. Many of these bungalows are being built by the Salt Lake Security & Trust company, com-pany, the concern which during 1909 erected so many splendid homes on the north bench and which were quickly snapped up by home buyers who realized and appreciated their superior points of construction. The Salt Lake Security & Trust company was the first to realize the desirability of the north bench as a residence district, and in erecting the large number of homes it has put up there, the company has followed the principle of modern construction and the very best of workmanship and materials obtainable. The result re-sult of this has been that their homes are in constant con-stant demand. The company's latest move is to generously offer the North Bench Circle a large number of trees and shrubbery to aid the Circle in its efforts to beautify the lawns and trees of the many new residences and homes there. |
