Show MOTOR MOTIONS The most important announcement of the week in Salt Lake motor car circles is the news that shortly after the first of June the Studebaker Brothers' company will move its entire automobile department to the ground floor of the new Lynch building, now being erected at the corner of Second Sec-ond South and Second East streets. Manager Quigley of the Studebaker company has taken a long term lease on the entire ground floor of the big building and upon completion it will be the home of the various makes of Studebaker Stude-baker cars, the E-M-F "30" cars and the Flanders "20", with show rooms, garage, and machine shop finished and furnished as completely as money can do it. In the new quarters the Studebaker company will have one of the finest automobile establishments establish-ments to be found in the west, and Manager Quig-ley Quig-ley announces that the company will carry a complete line of motor car accessories. The ground floor of the Lynch building will be so divided di-vided that the front portion will be used for the show rooms, where will be found the Studebaker, E-M-F and Flanders cars. The rear portion of the first floor will be utilized for a completely equipped garage and a large machine shop will occupy the basement. There-has been much speculation spec-ulation as to who would secure the lease of the new Lynch building, as the site is considered one of the most advantageous east of Main street. The regular business of the Studebaker Brothers company has increased so rapidly that all available avail-able room in the main building on State street is required for the implement end of the business, busi-ness, and the decision to secure an entirely separate sep-arate establishment for the motor cars where more room could be had, resulted in leasing the first floor of the Lynch block. The latter is being rushed to completion and will probably be ready for occupancy between the tenth and fifteenth of June. Barnett and Kaar report the sale of three 1911 Locomobiles. The cars will be delivered later this summer and should go a long way toward popularizing the make locaily. |
