Show The table d'hote luncheon Wednesday at the F Country club brought out a larger crowd than usual from town. Wednesday afternoon Mrs. A. L. Hoppaugh entertained en-tertained at the first of a series of bridge teas. Mrs. M. T. Bailey and Mrs. C. H. Post entertained enter-tained Tuesday afternoon informally at six tables of bridge, with tea following. Mrs. J. R. Walker and Mrs. Russell G. Schulder poured. Among today's events will be the luncheon to be given by Mrs. C. C. Parsons, Jr. At the home, The Porches, Monday afternoon, after-noon, Mr. and Mrs. George Y. Wallace entertained enter-tained at an afternoon card party for the purpose pur-pose of furnishing the boys ward in the new Orphans' Or-phans' Home, and the ladies thronged the beautifully beauti-fully decorated house all afternoon, about twenty tables being used for the cards. Mrs. O. W. Powers, Mrs. Benner X. Smith, Mrs. Russell Tracy and Mrs. Keyser assisted the hostess. For Mrs. Edwin F. Holmes, Mrs. Thomas G. Webber and Miss Webber entertain this afternoon after-noon from three to five. Mrs. Clarence E. Allen entertained to meet her daughter, Mrs. Harry Clinton Gaw, Monday afternoon. |
