He found a recalcitrant haberdasher on Main street, and with many threats Induced him to open the store and present him with a complete new outfit to replace the mining costume, including a dress suit. He finally arrived at the home of the charming lady arrayed immaculately, but in attire at-tire which showed the result of having been clasped to his agile form with exceeding haste. She afterwards learned what he had done for her and now she thinks he is tho greatest hero in the universe, in which supposition he fervently fer-vently agrees. But the experiment was expensive to the extent of $135, and he now wears the key to his office where Hans the Blue-Eyed Dane wore the Maid Ultruda's charm. |
